Where I can find my favourite Douwe Egberts products?

Your favourite Douwe Egberts products are available in most major retailers (Checkers, Pick n Pay, Makro, Shoprite, Spar, Woolworths etc.), however you may find it more difficult to find our complete range in some of their smaller stores.

How should I store my coffee?

To maintain the highest quality and standards of Douwe Egberts coffee that you have come to know and expect, the product should ideally be stored in a cool and dry place (max. 20 °C, max. 70% humidity). Under these conditions the quality can be guaranteed over a period of 24 months.

Which coffee beans are used for Douwe Egberts coffee?

Our Douwe Egberts coffees are created and include a mixture of Arabica and Robusta beans coming from different growing areas in South & Central America, Asia, and Africa. These areas have the ideal climatic conditions for growing coffee. The proportions vary according to the season and thus guarantee a consistent, quality product, you have come to know and expect.

Is Douwe Egberts coffee fit for vegetarians and vegans?

All of our products are manufactured from pure coffee beans only, and are subjected to the freeze drying process in order to derive our Douwe Egberts instant coffee. There are no animal or alcohol products used in processing.
Our instant coffee is therefore suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Our Cappuccino and 3-in-1 mixes include milk and sugar and are therefore only suitable for vegetarians and not vegans. 

Is Douwe Egberts coffee certified Halal?

All of our products are manufactured from pure coffee beans only, and are subjected to the freeze drying process in order to derive our Douwe Egberts instant coffee. There are no animal or alcohol products used in processing.
We do not have accreditation from local authorities (SANHA, PAREV etc.), however our production plants are certified as Halal

Is Douwe Egberts coffee certified Kosher?
